Credits and top-ups
What a credit is, what uses one, and when a plan means you need none.
Credits are how Jobwhisper meters usage, and there are two kinds. Knowing which one a feature draws on explains most of what looks confusing on a bill.
What a credit is
A credit is one unit of pay-as-you-go use, for anyone not on a plan (or using something their plan does not include). Credits cost $0.25 each, are bought in top-ups from $10, and stay valid for 30 days.
What uses credits
- Interview Prep, Interview Copilot, Coding Copilot and Meeting Copilot: 2 credits per minute of a live session.
- Resume Builder: 1 credit per AI prompt, and 1 per tailored rewrite. ATS scoring, suggestions and downloads are free.
- Auto Apply: 1 credit per successful application. Nothing is charged for one that does not go through.
A 45-minute interview with Copilot uses 90 credits. On a plan that includes Interview Copilot, it uses none.
Why minutes rather than sessions
Per-session pricing punishes short use. A ten-minute phone screen and a two-hour panel are not the same thing, and charging them identically would push you to avoid opening Copilot for anything brief. Metering by the minute means a quick screen costs what a quick screen is worth.
Topping up
- Go to Billing & subscription, then Add credits.
- Choose a preset amount or enter your own, from $10.
- Pay. The balance is available immediately.
Running out mid-interview
The thing to avoid. Check your balance before a scheduled interview rather than during one. A long panel can consume more than you expect, and the middle of a final round is the worst possible moment to be handling a payment screen. If you are close to the line, top up or upgrade beforehand.
